Salende is Salento, and it is for the Salentini themselves: it is with this dialect word that the inhabitants of the heel of Italy refer to their territory, a melting pot of traditions, flavors and colors with few equals in the rest of the country. Salende expresses this kaleidoscope of emotions, reminding us that our identity is something we must never give up.
This is a story of family, of the love for their land, Apulia, and its rediscovery. The sunshine of Puglia and the traditions of Salento conveyed by a vibrant entrepreneurial streak passed on from father to son. A project that finds its roots in the 1980s, with that farm founded by the progenitor Tommaso Rubino, who was the first to recover the viticultural potential of an area with a distant past. His son Luigi, together with his wife Romina, who is in charge of marketing and communication, has taken up his entrepreneurial legacy, infusing that great passion into one of the companies that today represents a model of Apulian viticulture.
