A wine with a very independent character, it pleasantly brings the Montsant style to the glass.

Youthful purple-red. Pleasant, multilayered aroma, notes of violets, dried fruit, ground rock, smoked fat, charcoal. Fresh and juicy structured, slightly dry tannin with grip, well balanced with medium body, nice reverberation of floral aromas and some whiskey.

Hand-harvested and hand-selected. Garnacha vineyards grow on slate soils, Cariñena vineyards on clay and Syrah on limestone, so three different terroirs combined in one bottle! Can Blau medium wine is aged for 12 months in new and used French oak barrels.

Cellers Can Blau is one of the oldest projects of the Gil family. The vineyards of Montsants are flatter than those of neighboring Priorat, but more diverse in their soils. The use of the native Cariñena grape is particularly exciting in Can Blau.
