A large, noble red wine with a complex bouquet.

Notes of cedar, tobacco, Christmas spices, stoneware, tangerines and violets. It is somewhat reminiscent of the great young Rioja. Excellent balance between fullness and textural density, fine grain, present and all wine supports tannin. Juicy, refreshing acidity, fine fruit extract, but high alcohol content, the wine is presented with fresh finesse. Lingering aromas, notes of tobacco and black tea on the finish. Great to keep in the basement

Hand-harvested and hand-selected. Garnacha vineyards grow on slate soils, Cariñena vineyards on clay and Syrah on limestone, so three different terroirs combined in one bottle! The flagship wine Mas de Can Blau is aged for 18 months in new and used French oak barrels.

Founded in 2003 and owned by Juan Gil Bodegas Familiares. 35 hectares of vineyards, planted with grapes typical of the regionGarnacha , Cariñena, Mazuelo andShiraz . The average age of the vineyards is 40 years.

Cellers Can Blau is one of the oldest projects of the Gil family. Montsants vineyards are flatter than those of neighboring Priorat, but more diverse in their soils. The use of the native Cariñena grape is particularly exciting in Can Blau.
