Amarone, the flagship product of the Righetti winery, is made by the ancient method of appassimento.
From October to March, the best bunches of the Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella varieties are placed to dry in special rooms, where the right level of humidity and ventilation allow optimal dehydration of the grapes.
After the grapes are crushed and fermented, the wine is placed to age for three years in oak barrels and barriques.

Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico Luigi Righetti is deep ruby red in color, with a complex nose dominated by dried fruit. Full-bodied on the palate, big, cherry and plum flavors in the mouth give way to a rich, smooth finish. Although this will continue to evolve in the bottle for several years, we really enjoy drinking it now and enjoying all its delicious nutty flavors.

Aging then continues in the bottle for about 12 months.
