This perfectly balanced gin is created with the utmost care and masterful precision. The flavor profile consists of a combination of six Japanese yuzu botanicals, sakura flowers and leaves, sencha and gyokuro tea, sansho pepper, and 8 traditional gin ingredients. Japanese botanicals are harvested according to the “Shun” principle: correct season and at their optimum maturity and distilled individually in various batch stills.

Yamazaki Distillery was founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii. The name comes from the Yamazaki Valley, which lies between Kyoto and Osaka. In 1929 the first Suntory Whisky Shirofuda came on the market, which was rather peaty and not very successful. The big breakthrough came in 1950 with the Suntory Old Blend.
