- Description
Sophisticated, artisanal, harmonious, pure and always authentic: the small gin distillery in the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein distills bottlings from up to 700 bottles. It uses botanicals such as plum, apple, hazelnut, coriander, mace, lemon, orange and, of course, juniper.
In northern Germany, in the beautiful state of Schleswig-Holstein, Spitzmund Gin is produced at a small distillery. The term “New Western Gin” on the bottle refers to the very modern style of the gin. Juniper is rather reserved, but Spitzmund Gin triumphs with a fine aroma derived from botanicals such as plum, apple, or hazelnut. But creator Andreas Werner is very important that there are no artificial flavors in his gins but everything comes from natural raw materials.
The nose is mainly plum, with spicy aromas of coriander, juniper and orange. Japanese plum wine also comes to mind on the palate first, shortly after a fine bitter note like classic gins. Great with fruitier tonic water.
