- Description
Notes of ripe yellow fruit, exotic fruits such as pineapple and honey are present, giving the wine its fresh, full-bodied character. A balance of fullness and liveliness unfolds in the mouth, giving the wine a graceful and vinous elegance at the same time.
Blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier according to the traditional method, aged on the lees for 36 months.
Maison Perrier-Jouët was born out of the
love
between Rose-Adélaïde Jouët and Pierre-Nicolas Perrier who in 1811, the year of the Comet, realized their dream and founded their Maison de Champagne. The first cuvée made will be named Comet Wine, extraordinary vintage. A passion for Nature and an interest in Art are characteristics that accompany the founders of the Maison Perrier-Jouët and their successors: In 1900, the Summer Olympics and the Exposition Universelle were held simultaneously in Paris. It is most likely in this context that Octave Gallice, the new heir to the Maison, met and commissioned from Emile Gallé the decorated magnums that would arrive in Epernay in 1902 with the famous Japanese anemones that became the symbol of the Cuvée Belle Époque in 1969.
