Torres del Priorat’s new entry-level wine. A wine powerful of good length and personality!

Intense and opaque cherry color. Impressive intensity of fruit (blueberries, black berries) with spicy notes of black pepper and a minerality characteristic of the Priorat terroir. Intense taste, rich and complex on the palate, with velvety and fleshy tannins. Hints of dried figs and dates.

Grown on Priorat’s famous Llicorella floors, which offer a terroir that leads to highly concentrated wines with minerality and good natural acidity. The temperature variations between day and night contribute to the optimal ripening of the grapes and intensify their aroma and intensity. The wine is aged in French barriques for 12 months (second passage).

Familia Torres founded her winery in Vilafranca del Penedès in 1870, 150 years ago, but her roots in the Penedès winemaking traditions date back to the 16th century. Each generation has handed down the passion for the culture of wine from parents to children, a passion built on profound respect for the land and tradition, as well as on faith in innovation. Today the goal of the fifth generation is the production of wines from exceptional vineyards and historic estates, as well as the recovery of ancestral varieties as a way to adapt to climate change. Since 2008, Familia Torres has taken active measures to combat the climate emergency, implementing adaptation and mitigation measures to reduce its carbon emissions. Familia Torres has a historical link with Penedès, Conca de Barberà, Priorat and Costers del Segre, but now its presence extends to vineyards and wineries in the main Spanish wine regions – Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rueda and Rías Baixas – and in Chile and California. Familia Torre is a member of Primum Familiae Vini, an association representing 12 of the oldest and most prestigious wine families in the world, and is the founder of International Wineries for Climate Action, which promotes the decarbonisation of the wine sector.
