Those who are not authorized or do not want to drink alcohol for professional or health reasons no longer have to do without the pleasure and variety of aromas that derive from it. With an innovative process for the gentle removal of alcohol from classically vinified wines, the Torres del Penedès family has achieved a stroke of genius that satisfies a long cherished need. Sangre de Toro 0.0 naturally retains all the qualities of a wine and convinces with maximum grape aroma.

Although Sangre de Toro 0.0 as a soft drink cannot legally be called wine, the first stage of the production process does not deviate from classic winemaking: After rigorous sorting, complete destemming, crushing and pressing, the grape must is kept in stainless steel tanks for two weeks fermented at controlled temperature between 14°C and 16°C, then filtered and cooled. Only then is the alcohol gently removed from the wine in an innovative process that has been perfected by the Torres family over the course of several years. This takes place in a double extraction process, in which the volatile components of the wine – first its aromas, then the alcohol – are extracted in two circular conical columns. The former are added back to the wine in the last step. What remains is a wine drink with a rich grape aroma and natural vitamins, antioxidants and minerals. The products are certified vegan and contain only 2 to 3 grams of sugar per liter , i.e. only half the calories of normal wine.

Thanks to the delicate alcohol extraction process, the wines retain the fruity aromas of the grape varieties used and offer maximum drinking pleasure.

The Blanco impresses in the glass with its pale straw yellow. Intense and fragrant bouquet on the nose with the typical muscat aromas of rose flowers, ripe pears, bananas and a fresh hint of citrus.

The Rosado of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon has a delicate scent of cherry and raspberry, so its herbaceous notes give it a liveliness that continues on the palate, rounded off by a fine residual sweetness.

The Tinto shows its dark cherry red in the glass and aromas of juicy raspberries, quince and delicate hints of French oak. The reason is that a small part of the Syrah used is actually aged in new oak barrels. On the palate, fine fruity aromas and a slight sweetness in the finish surprise.

Healthy and perfectly ripe, Moscato is harvested from September and vinified exactly like a classic Torres white wine: rigorous selection, complete de-stemming followed by pressing in the press. A two-week fermentation of the must follows in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 14-16 ° C. The alcohol is then carefully removed from the white wine. The result is a wine drink with a full grape aroma, all natural vitamins, antioxidants, minerals – alcohol-free only (< 0.03%)
