The La Prella Estate located in Genestrerio, a hamlet of Mendrisio, has pedoclimatic characteristics that give its wines great aromatic finesse and an elegant body marked by the presence of silky tannins and moderate acidity. +

This reserve is the result of a careful selection of the estate’s grapes and presents the best of the characteristics of this particular terroir.

Deep and bright ruby red color tending to purple. Intense and elegant aroma, characterized by hints of red berries, cherries and vanilla. Harmonious and well-balanced flavor, good complexity and structure. Tannins are well present but silky and of remarkable finesse.

Long maceration in oak vats. Malolactic fermentation and further aging for 18 months in 30% new French oak barrels and the remainder of second and third wines.

Aging: over 10 years

Meinrad C. Perler, founder of Agriloro SA, acquired the Ör Estate in 1981. The entire complex is ancient and is already mentioned in 7th-century documents as one of the most important vineyards in Mendrisiotto. Over the past two decades, the vineyard has been completely renovated and planted with 28 grape varieties.
