- Description
The delicate salmon color of this rosé wine has an enticing freshness, and its fresh aromas deliver what the color promises: a hint of white peach, strawberry and red apple peel. These fruity fragrances are a prelude to a refreshing, subtle, very pleasant taste, accompanied by a slight acidity that lends character.
50% Merlot
50% Sangiovese
It all started in 2001, when Wolfgang Reitzle bought the “Villa Bertolli,” located in Lucchesia, along with some olive groves and a vineyard of about one hectare.
Following the Bertolli family’s sale of its namesake brand to Unilever, Messrs. Reitzle and Ruge renamed the villa in honor of the picturesque ninth-century parish church located nearby. Thus “Villa Santo Stefano” was born.
At present, the company produces about 30,000 bottles of red and white wine as well as 2,500 liters of extra virgin olive oil in its 11 hectares of land.
