The favorite aperitif of those who, at aperitif time, demand tantalizing sensations.
Intense pink, with lively notes of berries and pleasant vinosity, it is a blend of Pinot Noir (60%) and Chardonnay (40%) aged in bottle for a minimum of 24 months.
VISUAL APPEARANCE: Soft, fluffy mousse with good persistence of a faint crown; fine, continuous perlage.
COLOR: deep pink, which may vary slightly with each vintage due to the different degree of phenolic maturity of Pinot Noir.
AROMA: Elegant notes of berries and ripe fruit, well blended with delicate aromas of yeast and bread crust. Pleasant vinosity, due to the short maceration of Pinot Noir on the skins during vinification.
TASTE: The palate is fine, elegant, lively and full-bodied; the medium-high dosage of sugars goes a long way toward balancing the marked acidity.
Pinot Noir (60%) and Chardonnay (40%), sourced from the most suitable vineyards in the 19 communes of Franciacorta.

In 1955 the young and volcanic winemaker Franco Ziliani turned it over to Guido Berlucchi, a country gentleman. Berlucchi was looking for a consultant capable of improving his Pinot del Castello and found instead a partner for a taste adventure that would change the destiny of Franciacorta.
