The taste is reminiscent of Red Martini, with orange root and calamus distinctly in the foreground. Harmonious mix of sour, spicy and sweet oranges.
The basis of the aperitif is the same as a regular martini: wine, herbs and plants. However, the alcohol is removed from the wine before the herbs are macerated in the liquid.
Martini & Rossi was founded in Turin in 1863 by Alessandro Martini and Luigi Rossi. The two visionary founders led the company to success; Martini Rosso has won at least 13 major awards and 40 gold medals in international competitions. Since then Martini has become an integral part of the Italian bar scene.
