- Description
Berta Elisi Grappa combines several grappas from a total of three grape varieties produced over the past decade.
Tasting note: with hints of cocoa and cherry, almond and dried apricot.
Francesco Berta was born with the production of grappa: born in 1866, he grew up among the vineyards of Piedmont and learned to make wine at an early age. He was more interested in schnapps, however, and so he focused entirely on its production. The Berta company was founded early in central Piedmont, between the Langhe and Monferrato, and is now successfully run by the two grandsons Gianfranco and Enrico.
“Grappa Berta Elisi” is the result of a selection of different grappas produced over the past ten years and stored in oak barrels. It combines three different grape varieties: 50% Barbera d’Asti, 25% Nebbiolo da Barolo and 25% Cabernet
