Monzio Compagnoni: one territory, endless passions

The Monzio Compagnoni winery is located in an old farmhouse dating back to the 1400s, surrounded by nature in Adro, in the heart of the hills of Franciacorta, just a stone’s throw from the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Neve.

The founder, Marcello Monzio Compagnoni, purchased the old Loneto farmhouse in 1995, later expanding it based on his architectural studies. The purpose was to create optimal conditions for the preservation of Franciacorta. Thanks to a modern and pragmatic vision of the craft, over time the Monzio Compagnoni name has established itself as a major player in the world of Italian bubbles.

Many years of collaboration with consultant oenologist and scientist Donato Lanati, in-house oenologist Stefano Graffi and agronomic consultant Luigi Reghenzi ensure the continuity of the project. Every year, together, they study and perfect the production of wines.

In the 10 hectares of land surrounding the winery, they grow Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc grapes. Another 27 hectares are located in the municipalities of Adro, Cologne, Cazzago San Martino and Cortefranca. The sourcing of grapes from different areas of Franciacorta, with different soils and microclimates, along with the average age of the vines of about 15-20 years, give their sparkling wines a unique complexity and character.
