Jacopo Biondi Santi is the heir and continuer of one of the most illustrious names in Italian wine. In fact, he is the son of Franco, the gentleman of Brunello, the one who made Tenuto il Greppo in Montalcino a major international reference point. Today, alongside the famous Ilcinese estate, Jacopo also manages the vast estates of the historic Castello di Montepò, south of Grosseto, in the heart of the Maremma. It is a subjective and personal challenge that began in 1991 and from which linear and immediately comprehensible territorial interpretations, representative of an international and modern style, are born. Thus, on the one hand there coexists in Jacopo the awareness of being part of one of the most historic families linked to the world of wine in Italy, and on the other an enterprising personality takes flight, who wants to express his own future vision beyond a glorious past, putting his own marked entrepreneurial skills into play.
The winery of Jacopo Biondi Santi’s Castello di Montepò has a truly remarkable extension of nearly 220 hectares under vine.
