- Description
In this price range simply a sensational one!
Aromas of pepper, plum, cassis and blackberry. The palate with juicy fruit, ripe tannins and surprisingly concentrated. The wine exudes a broad and deep spectrum of aromas. Already open and accessible, not only intense in texture, but also wonderfully smooth and balanced.
After destemming and soft crushing, all varieties were processed separately. Fermentation and maceration took place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature not exceeding 28°C for about 20-25 days. Half of the wine was then racked into 225-liter used French and Hungarian oak barrels, in which malolactic fermentation was completed and in which expansion then took place. The other 50% of wine was aged in stainless steel tanks. This is followed by blending and bottling.
20% Cabernet Franc
40% Cabernet Sauvignon
30% Merlot
10% Petit Verdot
A LANDSCAPE PROJECT
It is the essence of Tenuta Argentiera’s winery, a serene guardian of a harmonious landscape.
In a magnificent handkerchief of Maremma land combining countryside and sea, suspended between woods and Mediterranean scrub, stands Tenuta Argentiera.
We are in the heart of the small but prestigious Bolgheri DOC, a terroir devoted to great red wines, in the very area of the famous Super Tuscans.
The name Argentiera carries an evocative meaning: it comes from the silver mines once found in this area of the Upper Maremma, which is also rich in natural springs and healing waters.
The Estate is the closest to the Tyrrhenian coast and at the same time the one that reaches the highest altitude of the entire Bolgheri territory, reaching 200 meters above sea level: this duplicity makes it different from all the others and manages to create a microclimate with unique characteristics.
