Champagne Carte Blanche presents itself in the glass as soft, creamy, fruity and lively. It is the creation of Léon Olry Roederer, who sought a multi-year champagne with a consistent taste.

composed of 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier

with notes of cooked fruit, baked apple, white flowers and almond cream.

The Louis Roederer champagne house took its name in 1833 when it was handed down from Nicolas Schreider to his grandson. Roederer had the idea of becoming a winemaker himself and purchased selected Grand Cru areas so that he could better control cultivation and get only the best grapes. This was very unusual at the time, as other champagne houses were content to buy grapes from other wineries. Under Louis’ leadership, the company has experienced significant growth. Frédéric Rouzaud is now the seventh generation to run the family business, which remains independent and obtains raw materials from a 240-hectare area in the Grand Cru and Premier Cru zones.

For Champagne Carte Blanche from Collection 243, 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier grapes were used. A total of 15% of the wine was aged in wood. The sparkling wine remains on the lees for three to four years and with dosage develops a creamy, voluminous texture with fresh, rich notes
