The MG distillery was founded in Vilanova, a small fishing village near Barcelona, back in 1835 and is now run by the fifth generation of the Giro family.
In 1940 the distillery launched MG Gin, which is still one of the best-selling gins in Spain.
Gin Mare followed in 2007.
Now, ten years later, MG Distillery presents Le Tribute Gin, described as “but quite dry.”
It is made from grain alcohol and is flavored with seven different botanicals: juniper, lime, orange peel, lemon peel, kumquat, tangerine, grapefruit, and lemongrass.
All ingredients are distilled separately, with lemongrass water being used instead of alcohol, which should enhance the lemon aroma better.
So all the distillates are blended together and with 43% vol.
