The carefully assembled tasting set offers an authentic view into the world of Japanese whiskey.
Whiskies from Shinshu Distillery, the two Nikka distilleries, and all three Suntory production sites are represented.

Japanese whiskies are receiving more and more attention. Far Eastern products are not as exotic as one might think, because many distilleries work strictly according to the Scottish model, use Scottish distillation systems, and in some cases even blend with Scotch whiskey. However, Japanese whiskey constitutes a separate category. After all, it is Mizunara’s sophisticated craftsmanship, pure mountain water, bold creations, climate, and Japanese barrels that make the difference. This collector’s set contains five small bottles of 3 cl each:

• Mars Maltage Cosmo Malt Selection (43% vol.): This blend is made with whiskies from the Shinshu distillery in the Japanese Alps as well as whiskies imported from Scotland.
• Hatozaki Pure Malt (46% vol.): a Japanese malt that combines three whiskey nations in one bottle with spicy and subtle honey-smoke aromas: the USA, Scotland and Japan.
• Super Nikka (43% vol.): a single malt from Japan’s first whiskey distillery with subtle peat aromas and hints of sherry and vanilla.
• Nikka Days Blended Whisky (40% vol.): A blended whisky with floral and peaty aromas, consisting of 100 spirits.
• Miyagikyo Single Malt Whisky (45% vol.): a slightly peaty whisky with spicy chocolate and coconut aromas and subtle hints of tobacco, matured mainly in sherry casks.
