Lenny Kravitz is a longtime friend of Dom Pérignon.

Passionate about his vintages and the kindred spirit of former chef de Cave Richard Geoffroy, the singer has always felt a creative affinity with the champagne brand, which reinvents itself each vintage to create the best champagne. Their collaboration began with a series of photographs of Kravitz. Now Creative Director, he was given the freedom to create this limited edition, a sign of Dom Pérignon’s respect.

The Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2006 impresses with its ripe and complex bouquet.

At first, notes of cocoa and dark spices are perceived, which then quickly develop into fruity aromas. The silky taste melds into a soft, deep, small texture with hints of vegetal notes. The wine inspires with a strong mineral character.

The famous Dom Pérignon champagne brand pays tribute to a monk of the French Benedictine order who lived in the 17th and early 18th centuries. During his service, Dom Pérignon proved to be an innovator in the production of sparkling wines-for example, the widespread bottle filling volume of 70 cl dates back to him. In addition, the Benedictine monk developed the method of classical bottle fermentation, first attached clasps to corks, and made other valuable discoveries. Wine exporter Jean-Remy Moët bought Hautvillers Abbey after the French Revolution and soon after acquired never-before-seen naming rights for the brand, which is why Dom Pérignon champagnes are now owned by Moët & Chandon, which in turn is part of the MHCS group. The first vintage champagne under the Dom Pérignon name was created in 1921 and went on sale 15 years later. At that time, however, it was still the normal Moët & Chandon champagne, which simply stayed a little longer in the maturation cellar and was then poured into the impressive bottles. Since 1943 there has been a separate production process for high-quality champagne. The composition of the grapes varies from vintage to vintage. In any case, sparkling wine spends at least eight years in the maturation cellar and is disgorged only when, according to experts, it has reached its optimum level of maturity. Unlike most producers, each Dom Pérignon champagne is made from vintage wines. If the harvest in a given year was unsatisfactory, You simply have to do without production and wait until next year. Wine connoisseurs around the world agree: the high price of Dom Pérignon Vintage Champagne is absolutely justified.
