Velenosi’s special red wine Querciantica Lacrima DOC is made from the Lacrima di Morro d’Alba grape variety, grown in vineyards owned by the Velenosi estate in the municipalities of Marcello (Ancona). The name comes from the tear-shaped juice of ripe grapes -a unique characteristic of this grape variety.
In the glass, Marche red wine is a deep ruby red with purplish highlights. The bouquet reveals a grandiose richness; it is intense and incredibly fruity. We smell strawberries, black cherries and violets. The taste of Querciantica Lacrima is wonderfully smooth on the palate, with exciting tannic nuances and light almond notes.

The Velenosi winery was founded in 1984 by two very young entrepreneurs, Angela and Ercole Velenosi. Then with the expertise of Dr. Paolo Garbini, Velenosi Srl was established in 2005.
More than 35 years of experience in the industry and a strong passion have made it possible to create this reality where, through the use of state-of-the-art equipment, exceptional wine is produced.
The winery’s estates extend among the hills that contour the beautiful Tronto River valley, which, thanks to its clayey and fertile soils, has always been suited to the cultivation of vines.
In addition to the four wineries located in Ascoli Piceno, Castorano, Monsampolo del Tronto and Castel di Lama, there is a vineyard in the Ancarano (TE) area and in the San Marcello (AN) area, among the Castelli di Jesi.
The winery since its inception has achieved great success in journalistic reviews published in the most renowned national and international newspapers such as: Wine Spectator, Robert Parker, Gambero Rosso, Luca Maroni, A.I.S. and many others.
That is why it is present throughout the country with the cooperation of 85 agencies and abroad where it is present in 52 countries both in Europe and the rest of the world.
