A Swiss red wine produced through the fruit of our search for balance between Merlot and barrel aging, but also a tribute to ourselves, our customers and the pleasures of life.

Intense ruby red color, on the nose notes of underbrush fruits (blackberries, currants), and aromas of coffee and chocolate. The palate is expressed with good structure, elegant and soft tannins, good persistence and freshness, typical of Merlot from Ticino.

Enjoyable in 4-5 years after bottling.

The name of this wine is a tribute to a team effort carried out by the entire Fam. Marcionetti for a good 20 years, it is a Tribute to our customers who have trusted us and believed in us, it is a Tribute to the prince grape variety of Ticino the “Merlot,” but also a Tribute to heaven (the label is the expression of it), because we believe in something bigger that from “up there” has contributed to the success of all this.

It is a wine that best expresses the search for quality and finesse, in the winemaking of pure Merlot in Ticino.

Using traditional methods combined with the latest technology in winemaking. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration for approx. 20 days, aging in French oak barrels for 18 months that gives complexity and body without interfering with freshness and varietal aroma.

We are farmers and winemakers; people who have inherited the noble art of working and living off the land. We are constantly working and experimenting, searching for more and better products, in the unavoidable respect for the balance between man’s work and nature. This is our story! We inherit the passion of agriculture and viticulture from our grandparents Carolina and Ettore who already from the 1930s onwards were dedicated to the cultivation of vines and various crops (tobacco, potatoes, green beans, cereals) as well as raising cows to produce milk and cheese. Settemaggio is the birth date of Raphael (the youngest of the three brothers), hence the inspiration for this fascinating name.
