Sinfonia barrique began as an experiment in 1990, when Angelo tried putting his merlot in French barriques.

It was a novelty to refine a wine with great potential in this way. After a 30-month wait, he invited some friends for a tasting. It was then that someone said, “Angelo, but this wine is a Symphony.” An elegant Symphony in constant evolution.

• Color – Deep, deep red with garnet hues.
• Nose – Very intense, persistent and complex. Typical spicy and ripe fruit aromas are well complemented by important woody and vanilla notes.
• Taste – Balanced, broad, warm, full-bodied, round, intense and very persistent. Rich wine with good flavor and silky tannins. It combines austerity with elegance.

Founded in 1950 by the desire of Bruno Chiericati, Italian wine importer and traveling salesman. On his bicycle he rode the length and breadth of Ticino and gave Chiericati a valuable name.
In 1989, Merlot production began thanks to the strength of Angelo Cavalli and his wife Carolina “Lina” Chiericati. With the help of their daughter Bruna, they were able to give a strong identity to the Chiericati, which is now among the most important establishments in the area.
In 2019, the newest member of the family, Luca, joins the company. Young and energetic aims to achieve new goals that we cannot reveal yet.
