• Color: dark ruby red
• Scent: blackberry, black cherry, vanilla
• Taste: very concentrated, fresh, firm tannins

After fermentations, the wine begins its aging period which will be in an initial 6 months in 10% new French barriques; the barriques are assembled in large barrels for another 22/24 months.

A further 10-12 months of bottle aging will follow after bottling.

Bottles produced: about 7000 and 200 magnums

In the 1960s, the Gagliasso Farm was established as Azienda Agricola Gagliasso Michele e Figli. In the 1980s, son Mario took over the business with great enthusiasm. New technologies, new grape varieties and the revitalization of old vineyards have given Gagliasso a boost. Now in the third generation, Mario’s children Luca and Nicoletta also work at the winery.
