Bordeaux-style vinification with very long maceration and malolactic fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks. Ruby red color with violet hues, very intense aroma of red and black fruits in which blackberries and cherries stand out. In the mouth warm full and very rich notes of liquorice species and red fruit very persistent, very sweet tannins giving structure and finesse. This wine is stored for maturation and aging for 30 months In classic Bordeaux barrels of new French oak.

For small wine producers who have not relied on quantity but on quality and only bring their wines to people privately or through gastronomy, the general shutdown due to the blockade is certainly not a convenient situation.

One of them is Marcello Brissoni, a (small) winemaker from Tegna near Locarno.

As a child, he came into contact with the world of wine through his uncle (wine merchant). As a result, he later became a sommelier and passed the Swiss summer exam in 1986 as the second best.

Ten years with Vinattieri (pope of wine in Ticino) shape his resume. In 1996 he began producing the now well-known Merlot Riserva Marcello. Since then he has been successfully selling his wines and a selection of self-selected Italian wines (mostly small producers with potential).

From the beginning, he has purchased his grapes from 18 small-scale vintners and turned them into wines that have positively surprised some connoisseurs.

Its clients include renowned Swiss hotels and restaurants such as: Eden Roc, Castello del Sole, Gasthaus zum Gupf, Carlton, da Enzo and, most importantly, Hotel Hof Weissbad in Weissbad and Ristorante Stazione da Agnese in Intragna.
