The typical purplish-red color indicates the lush aroma of fermentation. Very floral aroma, fermenting grape must, hints of cooked berries. Mousse (foam) pleasant, not aggressive, sweet but with refreshing acidity, not sticky, with lots of grape and candy flavors.

Easily accessible from Venice, Florence and Milan, Emilia-Romagna is the heart of northern Italy. Medici Ermete is located right in the center of this wonderful area: we are in Reggio Emilia, home of Lambrusco! It was in Reggio Emilia, by the way, that the Tricolor, the Italian flag, was born in 1797.

The region’s climate is warm and sunny in summer and harsh in winter, when fog envelops the plains and snow may fall on the hills.

This is an incredibly fertile land, which gives rise to such world-renowned excellences as Parmigiano Reggiano, Prosciutto di Parma, Culatello, Salame, Mortadella, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar, historic and famous dishes such as tortellini in brodo, cappelletti, lasagna and tagliatelle alla Bolognese, and of course the ever-present Lambrusco.
