- Description
Produced from the grapes of the youngest vineyards. This is the most pleasant type, as it has residual sugar that is neither too dry nor too sweet. An explosion of fruits and flowers that make this wine perfect for aperitifs or for enjoying a glass with friends.
An absolutely pure and finely fruity bouquet testifies to the careful work with the delicate base wines. There is a touch of floral aromas and subtle fruit flavors. Fresh, elegant, palatable, very well balanced, harmonious, finely pearly and creamy, light-bodied.
A story of a family, true and exciting, that has its beginnings after World War II: the three Bortolomiol brothers began the production of Prosecco in Valdobbiadene, beginning to make it known by touring the region on bicycles and bringing back little champions.
In August 1978 Gemin, named by friends as a diminutive of Guglielmo, founded the winery of the same name, beginning a sparkling wine history that is still carried on today. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s Gemin sparkled and bottled wines for Italy’s most renowned companies, bringing continuous innovations in the first and second fermentation of the Martinotti method.
It thus became a benchmark company in the national sparkling wine industry. Production aims at the enhancement of Valdobbiadene DOCG in its various types; sales cover the entire Italian territory and the main world markets. Since the late 1990s the company has been carried on by their daughter Paola and her husband Alvio, who have been making continuous improvements in quality, production and sales.
Today the company’s future is full of plans and prospects thanks to Paola and her children Luigi, Luca and Elisabetta. They carry on a family history, in a Unesco heritage area, putting passion and dedication into the production of a unique sparkling wine: GEMIN
