- Description
This famous grape variety is derived from a budding mutation of Pinot Noir and, preferring cool climates, finds its ideal habitat in the hills.
Livio Felluga winemaking gives the wine finesse and elegance, while maintaining the soft auburn hues that unmistakably characterize its color.

It is definitely the best-known wine from Friuli in the world.
Color: bright yellow with pinkish and copper highlights
Nose: complex, powerful, enveloping. Rich, multifaceted bouquet: the floral contribution of orange blossom, daisy and white wisteria evolves into ripe fruit notes with apricot, percoca, white melon and yellow peach in evidence. Sweet sensations of custard and crème brûlé are well balanced by the freshness of citrus.
Taste: voluminous, crisp, firm. Full and progressive. The attack is complex and velvety, fresh and enveloping. Excellent aromatic correspondence on the palate, pineapple, melon, Nashi pear, yellow peach and sweet pastry notes are found, which are enriched by a nice freshness and pleasant savoriness. The finish is fresh, taut and very persistent with citrus and white fruit aftertaste
Awards and honors:
2 Red Prawn glasses
92 points James Suckling
In Friuli, and now not only in this chosen land of men and wines, Livio Felluga is identified with the best oenological tradition.
A well-established habit of love that has lasted for five generations, ever since in his native Isola d’Istria the family produced Refosco and Malvasia.Seventy years ago Livio Felluga, who has the great privilege of being considered the “patriarch” of Friulian vitenology, firstborn of the fourth generation moved the business to Friuli. In the 1950s he founded the Brazzano winery and consecrated his love for the hills by purchasing, with happy intuition, the first vineyards in Rosazzo.

His race to success is destined to perpetuate under the banner of a full, absolute and even stubborn devotion to the land.
He knows it clod by clod, he lives and breathes it precisely because over the years, with patience and determination, he has been able to mold it with a soft hand, without abuse or violence, to derive the best. Rosazzo is a testament to this.Today the estate boasts a hillside spread in the Collio and Colli Orientali del Friuli of more than 160 hectares of property, 155 of which are vineyards.
