This wine is dedicated to the famous ancestor Philip (Philip) Mazzei (1730-1816), a liberal thought leader, American patriot and, with Thomas Jefferson, pioneer of viticulture in Virginia.

Made from a selection of the company’s own Cabernet Sauvignon,Philip is quintessentially Tuscan. “All men are created equal” is one of the most important principles of the American Declaration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson was inspired with this doctrine by the writings of his friend, the Italian patriot Philip Mazzei.”
