- Description
Palombara, a true champion of the Apulian winemaking tradition that contains the true soul of Primitivo.
Delicate yet enveloping spices unfurl gracefully on a tableau vivant of violets, black cherry, currants and thyme
16 months in steel, 6 months in first-passage French oak barrels for 50% of the mass, 8 months in bottle
The taste is somewhat surprised, taken aback by the crisp lightness of the wine. The taste buds are all a quiver, they want to swoop in too, and so down into the liquid at breakneck speed… They find a vein of juicy freshness, a fine smoothness, a substance all uplifting, and finally voilà the fruit peeping back through the billows cloaked in flavors
The robe is a beautiful dark red
This is a story of family, of the love for their land, Apulia, and its rediscovery. The sunshine of Puglia and the traditions of Salento conveyed by a vibrant entrepreneurial streak passed on from father to son. A project that finds its roots in the 1980s, with that farm founded by the progenitor Tommaso Rubino, who was the first to recover the viticultural potential of an area with a distant past. His son Luigi, together with his wife Romina, who is in charge of marketing and communication, has taken up his entrepreneurial legacy, infusing that great passion into one of the companies that today represents a model of Apulian viticulture.
