Enzo Boglietti is a family-owned winery that produces about 100,000 bottles annually from grapes sourced exclusively from about 22 h of its own vineyard. The company has its headquarters and winery in la morra at 18a fontane street. The estate vineyards are located in the municipalities of Barolo, Monforte, Roddino, Serralunga and Sinio.
Enzo Boglietti along with his daughter Linda and son Matteo work assiduously to produce high quality wines.
In order to achieve more streamlined and vibrant barolos than the 1990s and early 2000s vintages, we have also taken steps to reduce the percentage of new oak used, the length of time the wines have been in wood, fermentation temperatures, and decreased extraction.
In addition, with the intention of making even more elegant barolos, we have extended the post-fermentation period on the skins up to 3 months using the “submerged cap” technique, which is done by “splinting” the fermentation vats. Once alcoholic fermentation is complete, oak splints are inserted into the vats in order to keep the skins immersed in the wine.
All our barolo crus are bottled unfiltered.
The number of bottles of Barolo produced per year varies from 15,000 to 21,000 depending on the vintage and the quality of the grapes.”
