The grapes were harvested by hand, and the carefully evaluated clusters were carefully sorted on a double sorting table, before and after destemming. After a soft crushing, each variety and parcel was vinified separately.

Masseto is aged for 24 months in barrique, after the first 12 months the final blending takes place. This is followed by another 12 months in bottle before being put on sale

On organoleptic examination this sensational wine from Tuscany is a beautiful ruby red, intense and dark. The nose offers a refined olfactory bouquet, in which fruity and ripe tones of blueberries, blackberries and berries come together with delicate notes of vanilla and cocoa, spices and dark chocolate, tobacco and black truffle. The palate is substantial and rich, with great density, driven by a smooth, polished and silky tannic quality. The fruits perceived by the nose also return to the palate, and give a fresh, elegant finish with interminable persistence.
