Ludiano Ticino’s Merlot Valle di Blenio is a classic red wine made from Merlot grapes grown by several winegrowers in the municipality of Ludiano in the lower Blenio Valley.

During glacial retreat about 10,000 years ago, a huge landslide that fell into the valley diverted the course of the Brenno River. In time there was a new watercourse and the deposits discovered were called “The Ganne of Ludiano.” Vineyards have been planted here since the 17th century. A true drop of authentic Merlot with historic origins and unmistakable aromas.
