- Description
A creamy Vermentino with aromas of lime and grapefruit, plus a salty minerality.
Vermentino, vinified 50% in steel and 50% in barrique. Half of which was vinified in barrels is then stored in barrels for another 8 months. After blending, the wine ages in the bottle for another 6 months.
A rich wine with a creamy texture but fresh and juicy to sip that was born near the sea. Hints of rosemary, resin, sea salt, lime and pink grapefruit are perceived. It is not only a tasty white wine, but also one with distinctive character to go with fine foods. Grattamacco was the company that understood the potential of this grape and created one of the best expressions of it, fostering its popularity all along the Tuscan coast.
Grattamacco, founded in 1977, is located between Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci overlooking the Tuscan coast. The region is known for the temperature difference between night and day, which gives the wines a nice freshness. The vineyards are located in a natural amphitheater and are therefore protected from the wind. All grape varieties are vinified separately and blended into elegant blends.
