- Description
A fresh Bolgheri with notes of cassis, cedarwood and berries, as well as a light spiciness of pepper and hints of rosemary.
The grapes are fermented in open conical oak barrels. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 18 months in partly new barriques and another 12 months in bottle.
Collemassari Bolgheri Superiore Grattamacco is a classic red, with an austere and fresh character but loaded with a warm and enveloping soul.
This DOC Bolgheri Rosso Superiore was born in Tuscany, from a vineyard of just ten hectares set 100 meters above sea level, with soil rich in calciferous sandstone and clay and swept by the mild Mediterranean climate. It is all this that contributes to the growth of the old-flavored grapes that produce this splendid, elegant and intense wine, the pearl of the Grattamacco estate.

Grattamacco, founded in 1977, is located between Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci overlooking the Tuscan coast. The region is known for the temperature difference between night and day, which gives the wines a nice freshness. The vineyards are located in a natural amphitheater and are therefore protected from the wind. All grape varieties are vinified separately and blended into elegant blends.
