Franciacorta Saten is a typical product of the Franciacorta area. It differs from all other types because it is composed only of white grapes, and we use only Chardonnay grapes (no pinot blanc).

Silkiness, finesse and elegance: these are the main characteristics of our Saten. Its aroma is intense and fruity, with hints of bread crust, and its taste is full creamy, yet suave and fresh, so as to achieve a HARMONY of tastes .

The secret to this is the long aging period: bottles of Saten spend a minimum of as much as 30/36 months on their lees, much longer than the minimum timeframe indicated by the specification

Very important characteristic of Saten is that it possesses less pressure in the bottle, (5 atmospheres as opposed to the classic 6.5 atm of the other types) so fewer bubbles develop, resulting in a more delicate perlage in the mouth, hence SETOSOUS.

The Saten is capable of awakening real “taste emotions,” obtained thanks to a skillful vinification that sees 5% of the base must fermented and aged in small oak barrels for three months in order to give it more roundness already on the sparkling wine base.

Love for the land, the vine and its products has accompanied the Bontempi family for generations. It is undoubtedly Luigi Bontempi, a paternal grandfather since childhood nicknamed ” Balenc “, who inspired the birth of this new winemaking reality, passing on the care and passion for the vineyard to his son Emiliano who, strengthened by the support of his wife Maria – owner of the winery – and the young enthusiasm of his daughters Erika and Elisabetta – production manager – has completed the realization of an ambitious project that, however, continues to smell of home.
