Ferdinand’s Saar Dry Gin is produced in the Zilliken winery, which is located in the border triangle between Germany, France and Luxembourg. Only hand-picked Riesling grapes are used to blend the wine into the gin. In addition, master distiller Andreas Vallendar flavors the gin with more than 30 coordinated botanicals such as rose petals, thyme, lavender and blackthorn from the vineyards and our own cultivation. It is named after Ferdinand Geltz, the Prussian royal family’s forester, who united winegrowers in the Moselle-Saar region.
