Our Supertuscan has a deep, very intense ruby color, with delicate but persistent aromas of ample space. It is a competition of charm between ripe fruit and sweet spices, in which the fruit evolves in the glass towards browner toasted hints, from chocolate to licorice to tobacco.

Carpineta Fontalpino is the ancient denomination of our land, daughter of the historical places in which it is located: the carpineta , place of trees hornbeam, a plant with leaves with a silver back, and the source-al-pino , in reference to a centuries-old spring, once surrounded by pines, which is located within our estate.

The company stands in the shadow of the Montaperti hill, the scene of the mythical battle that took place on 4 September 1260. Dante Alighieri remembers her in his conversation with Farinata degli Uberti, in Canto X of the Inferno: he is the famous “Torment is the great havoc that made Arbia colored in red” , which the Sienese still remember with pride today for the victory they won against their rival Florence.
