The wine has notes of licorice and fennel, typical of this area, giving it a very Mediterranean profile, and it shows concentration, maturity, balance and acidity. The polished finish is long and persistent with elegant tannins.

Planted on terraces of blue slate and quartz soils known as llicorella, among pine and olive trees, the vines grow at very low yields near the property to ensure that the grapes arrive in optimal condition. The hand-picked grapes are fermented separately in small 15 and 30 HL open stainless steel tanks and some in 500L French oak barrels. Each grape variety is matured separately in French oak barrels with a capacity of 600, 300 and 225 liters for 12 months and finally assembled

The Gil family’s latest project in Priorat grows vines between 20-50 years old. The wine is produced at the Mas Perxet country house amid the rugged landscape and typical Llicorella slate soils of the Priorat near the Siurana River in the municipality of El Molar.
