Deep, dark ruby red. Noble and deep aroma with violet, cranberry jam, cedar wood, tobacco, black tea and some vanilla. A powerful, heavy wine with a lot of substance, creamy and soft body and a lot of sweet fruit extract. Thick and fine structure, strong but ripe tannins. Fresh, juicy acidity balances the wine very nicely. From sip to sip, the intense impression of fruit on the palate is constantly expanded with new nuances.

A wine for special moments!

The grapes for Centurion grow on several very small, secluded plots scattered around Manduria. The vines are old, some may be 100 years old. Prickly pears, olives and overgrown vines surround the vineyards. Heavy red soil on limestone cliffs and proximity to the sea (about 10 kilometers) characterize the terroir. Centurium pressing is done completely by hand with great care. Individual plots are developed separately and assembled into the final blend after 14 months. The grapes are carefully hand-picked, reselected in the cellar and fermented in small steel tanks after a cold period on the must.

It takes 24 months to mature in 40% new and 60% used French barriques.
