Gold Medal at the Berliner Wein Trophy 2022

Carato Riserva is made from the best selections of Merlot grapes from vines more than 40 years old. The grapes are grown in vineyards in the Locarno Hills, where they benefit from the best sunshine during the day, and the cool night breeze, the grapes enjoy the best conditions for perfect ripening. Carato Riserva rests for about two years in new French oak Barriques, called in the Italian language “Carati.” A wine of great structure that fully reflects the Terroir that generated it, of intense and spicy character of great aromatic finesse and elegance.

Intense ruby red color with violet hues, deep, sweet, at first reminiscent of cassis and blackberry, then leather, light tobacco, eucalyptus and tea leaves, balsamic. In the mouth it is full, racy, voluminous, long and persistent, at the same time elegant and spicy, with great structure and suitable for aging.
