- Description
Bright, slightly pale straw yellow. Floral notes combined with ripe fruit tones. It is very balanced and pleasant. The wine presents a taste of white fruits and legumes along with acid notes. Long ending.
The vineyards from which the grapes for Arindo Verdejo come are located near Segovia in the Rueda area; the soils are very sandy and covered with crushed stone. Harvesting is carefully done by hand. The must ferments in stainless steel tanks within 25 days at a controlled temperature of 15°. After fermentation is complete, the wine rests in refrigerated containers until bottling.
We are the moment
More than a century has passed at Viñas Familia Gil since we bottled our first wine. With that patience that the land of our ancestors gives us, we take care of our old vineyards. And we grow by incorporating small wineries from Spain’s major wine regions.
We are also a family, which is why we unite in one brand a selection of wines of different origins, but united by the nerve of quality and tradition. Different temperaments of native grape varieties, linked by the same family trunk that emerged from those first vines. We are what endures.
We preserve in our essence the character of the farmer, who blesses the touch of warm clay when he sinks his hands into the earth. With the modernization of the winery at the beginning of the 21st century, we incorporated technology that allows us to adhere to strict quality control, but the smell of the earth prevents us from moving away from the darkened bed of vines and the light radiating bloom. It is the strength of family legacy.
The memory of inherited knowledge accompanies us in recognizing whether the new shoots will give a good harvest or how to prune the vines so that the flavor is concentrated in the berries. Time has helped us preserve the old vines and combine them with new techniques to improve work performance and achieve nuanced wines.
