- Description
Velvety and lush
Complex and mature aroma. Reminiscent of orange peel, floral scent, cedar wood. Pleasant, medium-pressure, fine-grained tannins. Soft, nice maturity, notes of tobacco and leather. Well-aged classic, somewhat reminiscent of Brunello.
Hand-harvested and hand-selected. Fermentation partly in wooden tanks and partly in cement tanks. Aged in new French barriques for 17 months.
Callet 95%, Manto Negro, Fogoneu
The origins of Mallorca’s Black Soul are as legendary as their current cult status deserves. In the old milk tanks, Miquel-Àngel Cerdà and Pere Ignasi Obrador began their first experiments with the island’s ancient native varieties, and the rest is history. Today the two thoroughbred winemakers with unwavering principles when it comes to quality. And the milk tanks gave way to brick fermentation tanks after the steel tanks used in between proved too aggressive for the sensitive Callet.
