- Description
A rosé that could come from Provence.
Marbled pink with faint highlights. Intense aroma of gooseberry and vine leaves. With its subtle, fruity and crisp palate, it is an authentic wine worth trying.
The vision behind IXSIR is to reveal Lebanon’s best terroirs, some long forgotten. Cultivated in accordance with sustainable agriculture, IXSIR’s vineyards are scattered across Lebanon’s mountains on clay-limestone soils from Batroun to Jezzine, benefiting from Lebanon’s unique microclimates. IXSIR’s vineyards culminate at an elevation of 1,800 meters, making them the highest in the northern hemisphere.
Carefully handcrafted by IXSIR’s winemaker, the wines reflect the purity and freshness of the Lebanese mountains through richness, elegance and complexity.
Winemaking takes place in a vineyard located in the hills of Batroun, where a traditional 17th-century Lebanese house presides over a contemporary winery with sustainability at its core. Recognized several times for its green credentials, the IXSIR winery was named by CNN as one of the world’s greenest buildings. It has also won the international Architizer A+ award, the Good Green Design award and the Green Mind MENA award.
