- Description
Exactly two years after the launch of the 2011 ’61 Nature, Franciacorta Berlucchi ’61 Nature Rosé 2011 is born, a zero dosage with a decisive character and an uncompromising identity with a decidedly glamorous look.
The grapes, 100% Pinot Noir, come exclusively from the estate vineyards Ragnoli, Quindicipiò and Gaspa.
VISUAL APPEARANCE: Abundant, creamy froth with good persistence of a faint corona; fine, sinuous perlage.
COLOR: peach blossom pink with coral streaks.
AROMA: Fragrant and complex olfactory component, characterized by cranberry notes intertwined with delicate hints of citrus . All this amalgamated by a complex minerality.
FLAVOUR: On the palate, the wine is characterized by great balance between the softness resulting from long aging on yeasts, the acidity and minerality of white-wine vinified Pinot Noir and the graceful tannic texture of macerated Pinot Noir.
Pinot Noir (100%), sourced from the estate vineyards Ragnoli, Quindicipò and Gaspa; all at high planting density (10,000 vines/hectare).
There are questions capable of changing the fate of people and places.
“What if we made a sparkling wine the French way?”
was one of them.
In 1955 the young and volcanic winemaker Franco Ziliani turned it over to Guido Berlucchi, a country gentleman. Berlucchi was looking for a consultant capable of improving his Pinot del Castello and found instead a partner for a taste adventure that would change the destiny of Franciacorta.
